This is the dream blender. Until you use one you don't really understand how someone could pay so much for a blender. After that your eyes are opened to the amazing smooth creamy delicate or powerful tastes you can generate with the power of this machine.
You'll find your self being inventive with the ingredients you put in to develop sauces, pastes, pates and soups. It even heats what you make if you blend on high speed for a while, so you can make delicious just cooked soups.
It even makes jolly good peanut butter. Simply roast your nuts in the oven for 20 minutes and blend on full power using the plunger/tamper to keep it blending, and add in a little oil if needed.
A dry grind blender top is available as an extra option, which is not entirely necessary, as you can do nearly everything, including grinding dry nuts, in the standard one, though perhaps the dry blade container grinds dry nuts and grains even better.
Once you have a Vitamix you may wonder how you coped without it. Our former food processor is now gathering dust.
