Moscow’s vegetarian dining scene could be described as dismal – but that’s not to say there’s a lack of veggie eats in the city’s non-veggie eateries. Just go to a Ukrainian spot and you’ll find all kinds of vegetarian vareniki, or go to any Georgian joint and order khachapuri, lobio or adzhapsandal. There are countless Italian eateries with vegetarian pizzas and pasta, and sushi bars with veggie maki galore. What’s really lacking is a range of restaurants dedicated to exclusively vegetarian dining.
