World Vegan Day takes place on November 1st each year, and many events usually take place either on that day or during that week. This year Vegan Week runs from Saturday 27th October to Sunday 4th November.

Activists Pack

To get your own activists pack containing inspiration & materials for WVD & Vegan Week please contact the Vegan Society by calling 0845 45 88244 or e-mailing Show email address..

Whether you are a local group planning a stall to inform people about the advantages of a vegan diet, or a young person wanting to set up a display in school, the Vegan Society is happy to supply leaflets and booklets to help you on your way. Enclosed in an activists pack are a small number of leaflets for your event. And you are welcome to ask for more.

For event ideas, or to post your event see our Vegan Week page. Best of luck with your event - do let the Vegan Society and ActiVeg know how it goes.

Green Theme

The theme for this year's World Vegan Day is the Environment, and the Vegan Society has a sixteen-page informative booklet entitled 'Eating the Earth', which sets out the exact reasons why a vegan diet is better for the environment. The booklet provides well-referenced facts and figures and is all you need to defeat sceptics, who don't believe that vegan diets are less environmentally damaging than omnivorous diets.
