ActiVeg has a new HTML editor
Date: 2011-02-11
The ActiVeg content management system has upgraded its HTML editor from wymeditor to tinymce.
We had great hopes of the wymeditor. We loved its simplicity and philosophy of leading the user to concentrate on their content rather than trying to make things 'pretty'.
Sadly, the development cycle for wymeditor has proved to be too slow and a number of userability issues have forced us to jump ships to Tinymce.
We have a customised version of it in respects to image handling and link insertion. In fact, it much better then previously.
There is a bit of optimization still required and there are a few more facilities we wish to take advantage of, such as its templating. But that will have to go on the back burner because we have bigger plans that require our attention.

ActiVeg site disruption - update
Done!
All sites should be working. The login server "secure.activeg.org" should now stop throwing out those warning messages and we even have a little SSL certificate logo on the login page.
Some non-AVN domain named sites still need to set their domain names IP adresses to 212.67.217.15. If your site does not work than this is most probably the cause.
