"We went to the Moorish cafe in 2005 for our Book Club Christmas meal. There were only four of us and we wanted to eat somewhere reasonably priced which served something a bit different to the usual restaurant fayre. The Moorish met our criteria and we enjoyed a really delicious mixture of tapas (for two of us - each was £3.50 so between us we ordered four as a pick 'n' mix). Two of us orderd a main meal - one of which was memorably, ostrich - at around £13.50 for a main course. Not cheap but not utterly extortionate! It was all freshly cooked, pleasantly arranged and promptly served - no frozen ready meals here. The staff were very friendly but non-intrusive and there was a pleasant atmosphere. We've all agreed to return there for this year's meal if we can - which just about says it all really. "
