Description
Warning - items labeled as vegetarian may contain fish sauce . You have to ask for them to be made without fish sauce.
An award-winning East Asian restaurant in the heart of Totnes with plenty for vegetarians and vegans. They have a strong ethos, such as cooking freshly to order, local sourcing where possible, no animal fats, and welcoming of special dietary requirements enquiries. A handy evening alternative for when Willow is closed.
Some dishes marked up as vegetarian are not animal-free, as they use fish paste, which is often an issue with Asian restaurants. Although this is not strictly legal, sadly it is common. We hope to be able to tell you soon which dishes are vegan. Please add a review below if you've eaten here.
A huge plus is that Cafe Asa doesn't use monosodium glutimate (MSG), so you won't risk headaches and migraines so easily here.
Dishes can be made non-spicy for children.
