Or even better, say how your area is good for vegans because of a few lovely places, but that it could be even better and there's a huge market out there for animal-free food, from vegetarians, the dairy intolerant and major religions.
Press Release: Your-Town-Name restaurants – No Place to Eat
Your-Town-Name council is trying to change Your-Town-Name’s image as the place to party and get drunk but Your-Town-Name is no place to eat says Your-Name from Your-Town-Name.
Your-Town-Name based vegan Your-Name admits most chef’s find him hard to please, but he claims what he wants is very easy to provide.
He/She maintains that these days the mark of a really good restaurant is the quality and value for money of it’s vegetarian dishes.
Apparently these days with growing concerns about the environment and health more and more people are adopting a vegan lifestyle. Your-Name says restaurants are unlikely to get a group of friends or work colleagues with at least one or two vegetarians. “If restaurants are not getting these groups that’s because their menus are so bad that the groups are looking elsewhere†he warns. “It is simply bad customer service for a pro vegetarian customer to have to begrudgingly choose the fish dish because the vegetarian/vegan option is either such bad value for money, too boring or too laden with cheese and saturated animal fat to be healthyâ€
Your-Name claims an online survey on www.worldveganday.org revealed that the stumbling block for many people eating more vegan choices is the poor choice when eating out. He says “You can pay the same price as a steak for nothing more than a plate of frozen peas, sweet-corn and carrots in a tomato or cheese sauce. Indian and Chinese restaurants have the best options.â€
Your-Name maintains that recent restaurant trade statistics speak for themselves and Restaurants only have themselves to blame for the increase in SHEF (Stay at Home Entertain Friends) consumers and the short life span of so many restaurants.

Basic vegan nutrition
Veganism is often heralded as a very healthy way to eat. It certainly can be, and has more chance of being so than standard western eating habits. It avoids many of the dangers of omnivorous diets, as well as containing much better quantities of most essential nutrients. However, there are still some key nutrients we need to search out and help other vegans be aware of, to keep us in tip top condition and avoid risks. Then it can be a healthy diet for life for us all.
That's why we developed this key vegan nutrition page for everyone.

Medication and vaccination
Most medicines are tested on animals and many contain animal ingredients. We vegans and vegetarians all have to make our own minds up about the medicines we use, by being well informed and listening to all views.
Widely varying opinions exist on the pros and cons of different medications, particularly vaccinations. These lead to different conclusions from different people, with strong views even amongst professionals on each side, even before you get to the animal welfare issues. We will not pretend to know the efficacy and potential side-effects of drugs here.
Being vegan or vegetarian does not mean you automatically doubt the value of any vaccination and western medicine per se, any more than it means you will believe in every alternative that comes along. This is a separate consideration.

Alternatives to animal products used in food
There are many animal products in food production and cooking used for their particular structural or chemical characteristics, which often have good animal-free alternatives.
This article will help manufacturers consider alternatives to animal products so as to increase their market share, by improving food choice for religious and food intollerance groups, without exiting the food's main market, as well as raising awareness of both the animal-based products and equivalents from plants, minerals and synthetic compounds.
